The government of Telangana conducted Bathukamma film festival through their Language and Cultural Department (Telangana Basha Samskruthika Sarathi) to celebrate Bathukamma festival. Harinath’s debut movie, Nuvvu Thopu Raa was one among the 8 films selected for the occasion. The movie was screened and well received by the audiences. Director of the Cultural Department, Harikrishna always encouraged and promoted the artists and their works. Harinath is always grateful to Harikrishna, and his many friends from theatre days, Pasha (Director of the movie, Daughter of Varma), Narendar Goud, and Pranaya Raju.
