From being an observation assistant for the movie, Eeswar (Director  Jayanth C. Paranjee), Harinath Babu got the opportunity via Kiran Kumar (they got acquainted with each other when Harinath Babu was doing his theatre arts from the Central University) to be the associate director for his movie, Yours Abhi. After Yours Abhi, Harinath Babu worked as a director of real-time crime based TV episodes in ETV. During this time, Sai Kishore (Director of the movie, James Bond, Nenu Kaadu Naa Pellam) introduced him to YVS Chowdary and later YVS roped him in as associate director for his film, Okka Magaadu. The second unit director of Okka Magaadu, late Sai Balaji (Director of the movies, Orey Thammudu, Shivaji and Jai Sriram) who saw the potential in Harinath Babu introduced him to Krishna Vamsi. Director Krishna Vamsi made Harinath Babu associate director for his movie, Sasirekha Parinayam.
