Sai Kishore, a very well known codirector, from the Telugu film industry and the Director of the film James Bond, Nenu Kaadu Naa Pellam introduced Harinath Babu to YVS Chowdary. Harinath was working as a director at ETV and also assisting Sai Kishore on one of his scripts. Harinath always kept himself abreast with the growing digital technologies and was also fluent in Hindi language. He was often sought after by his friends, colleagues and well-know acquaintances for his skills in many facets of direction and team building. His much awaited and important break in Telugu film industry came through the director, YVS Chowdary who asked him to join his direction team for his upcoming film, Okka Magaadu. 

Harinath’s experience as director at ETV and Hindi language skills helped him in interacting and explaining scenes and dialogues to Simran, Priyanka Kothari (aka Nisha Kothari), Anushka Shetty, Ashuthosh Rana and Ravi Kale. He also contributed in scouting for suitable locations for the shoots, interacting with costume designers and finalizing the costumes, and in post-production his digital knowledge had made him in charge of the graphics department.

Working with one of the big stars like Nandamuri Balakrishna, a director like YVS Chowdary, a big budget film like Okka Magaadu, explaining dialogues and scenes to Hindi speaking artists and most of all being in charge of the most of the departments in the film-making was a great opportunity for Harinath. The amount of exposure, live experience and practical knowledge he gained could not have been obtained by reading books or attending classroom lectures about film-making. Harinath always advocates that one should work in actual movie/cinema projects under different directors and artists to direct a movie of one's own some day.
