I met Lakshmi Sowjanya, for the first time on the sets of the film Sasirekha parinayam directed by Krishna Vamsi Sir. I call her Akka. We both worked in the direction department of the film. We used to discuss nuances of the filmmaking during our film shoot. She has vision and narrative skills.

Being a woman, definitely, she has a different perspective towards the story she chooses. She is a very hard worker and blends with the team easily. Her 12 years of patience and perseverance to direct a movie has finally paid off with a film.

I know Lakshmi Sowjanya's mother. She has been supporting her daughter's dream to become a film director and has been eagerly waiting to see her directed film. Her wait has come to an end. Just 24hrs more. It is on 29th October,2021 and the film is Varudu Kaavalenu directed by Lakshmi Sowjanya.
