Kumara Swamy GK- I’ve known him well for the last few years. He hails from an Oggu Katha family from a remote village in Telangana. His passion for the arts made him pursue his Ph.D. in theatre from Central University and PDF in China and UK! Now, he is the principal of Madhu Film Institute. He and I are constantly in touch with each other. So I was happy to accept the invitation to be one of the guests at the event of the release of his short film Chitti and the certificates distribution of Madhu Film Institute at Prasad Labs.
It was an honour sharing the dais with eminent people like Surabhi Vani Devi garu (MLC and daughter of the former Prime Minister of India, the late PV Narasimha Rao) and other dignitaries such as Bonthu Sridevi garu and Preethi Reddy garu, etc!
It was a great feeling to be honoured by GDV Prasad Rao garu, chairman of the Institution (son-in-law of V. Madhusudan Rao, veteran director and founder of Madhu Film Institute) on the this occasion. I had tried to join this institute in the early days of my film journey but couldn’t. But now destiny has made me attend the same institute’s program as a guest!! Kumar, I have witnessed your growth and passion in pursuit of a goal! You surprise me pleasantly with your work every time - keep it up! I will be happy if my support makes even a small difference in your journey!!
