Freely spitting fire, f... and further foul words, Kajol makes Tribhanga her own, mesmerising us as Anuradha Nayantara Apte. Without being melodramatic, Director and Writer Renuka Shahane unfolds in a touching manner the many facets of the relationship between a mother and a daughter. Drawing out excellent performances from her actors, she deftly captures the pain, the anger, the frustration, the hurt, and the regrets that come too late in the relationship between Anuradha and Nayan (her mother, played by Tanvi Azmi). Beautifully portrayed also are the fiery, protective maternal instincts, the love, and, yet, the latent discomfort about the mother's lifestyle, in the relationship between Masha (Anuradha's daughter, played by Mithila Palkar) and Anuradha. Kajol has always been my favourite (since my teens). What an actress you are Kajolji !
